Lucy Sharp is a ceramic artist born and raised in Houston, Texas, where she currently lives and works. She creates in both water-based and oil-based clay, embracing a wide range of techniques that allow her work to move fluidly between sculptural form and functional art.
A lifelong horsewoman and animal lover, Lucy draws deeply from her connection to animals, using clay as a creative outlet to express movement, emotion, and organic form. Unwilling to confine herself to a single discipline, she finds equal joy in sculpting expressive figures and throwing bowls on the wheel, often altering them by hand to create one-of-a-kind pieces that blur the line between utility and sculpture.
Lucy has participated in several exhibitions, each met with strong and encouraging response. As her practice continues to evolve, she is committed to serving her community through art, with a growing focus on using her work to support nonprofit fundraising initiatives.
All of Lucy’s pieces are available for purchase, and she welcomes commissions. She looks forward to collaborating with collectors and helping bring meaningful, handcrafted art into homes and lives. Thank you for visiting her website.
